CONSECTUTIVE
OR
SIMULTANEOUS?

Simultaneous- This is real-time interpreting. The speaker(s) need not pause for the interpretation, rather the rendering is delivered instantaneously as the speaker is talking. Examples of this are conferences, speeches, webinars, multi-panelist business meetings, etc. This is a time saver! Your listeners will receive a seamless presentation in their own language.

Keep in mind: Simultaneous services require two interpreters to facilitate endurance and ensure quality. Both remote and on-site services may require the proper equipment or technology.

Consecutive-  The speaker(s) pause to allow for interpretation. Examples of this are interviews, depositions, diplomatic meetings, business meetings, parent-teacher conferences, etc. Allow for double the time as you would for a single-language exchange. No special equipment or technology is needed.
